Elise wanted wood tables to feature the lush and romantic florals that Petal Pushers were creating, so we sourced the tables at a great price from Hill Country Event Rentals. Duchman is a lovely setting, but with Elise’s soft color palette, the red ceiling was just not working. Having worked with festoon lighting outside, I suggested we bring the look indoors to create a unique canopy. Ryan from Altared Weddings had been working on his whiskey barrels with lighting, and it all came together to create a magical look.

If you are wondering who else assisted on this fabulous Fall wedding, which is featured in February under the Texas section of Style me Pretty are the following FAB vendors. First of course, is the wonderful husband & wife team, Forever Photography and look how this couple work seamlessly on creating these beautiful images! Another husband + wife creative team, Nostalgia Films. Crave Catering, led by Meredith – one word -yum! . DJ Byrne Rock provided the tunes, Elise’s make-up was done by the talented Maris Malone Calderone and hair by Anna Alvarez.  The Warrior who took over the reins this day was Kayleigh Ziegenbien.

Many of Austin’s fun & funky places are free. However, some do charge a fee,  but can be well worth it, as seen in these wonderful photographs taken by the very talented Matthew Johnson Studios.

Another trend for 2013 is a modern twist to the iconic and timeless look of lace. With designers like Dresden, Gros Point, Marchesa, Amsale . . . well the list goes on of designers who are creating a sleek, romantic and up to date look with lace.

Put together a mini burger bar including a selection of toppings and condiments. Give your guests even more options with chicken or pulled pork sandwiches.

Use a canoe instead of keeping the beer, bottled, or canned beverages hidden behind the bar. It’s a genius idea so that your guests won’t have to wait in a long line every time they want another drink. If you don’t want guests to have as much access then just store the beverages behind the bar and gradually refill the boat. You can even skip the bartender all together if you don’t want to have mixed drinks. Not only is it an easy way to keep large amounts of beverages cold, but it’s also festive and adds a bit more decoration to your wedding.

One of the many great aspects of having a wedding planner is that little things like this will already be taken care of. Although if you’re without one, having a contact sheet for the day of is the next best idea. It would be wise to include all of your vendor’s contacts- including the company name, person in charge, number, and arrival time. I would also add a couple of family contacts in case there’s any simple confusion like directions. Distribute the sheets to people who will be in charge of helping run you and your groom’s day smoothly.

Now all you have left to do is leave the stress to anyone but you and your groom!
